The Château de Versailles invited Fakear for its third carte blanche around electronic music so that he could compose a track inspired by the sound atmosphere of the old palace. There, Fakear got captivated by the sounds of the clocks of the castle. He recorded them and used them to create Palace Of Time.

To compose Palace Of Time, Fakear completely immersed himself into the sounds of the Château de Versailles. He explored the palace and got captivated by the unique sounds of its clocks – so he recorded their clinking and mechanisms: « I used the sounds of many clocks around the castle. They are like immortal gardians of this place and symbolize these weird and elastic times we are living in » he explains. The furtive sounds of footsteps and doors closing give the rhythm for Palace Of Time. Mixed with the more steady sounds of the clocks, they bring to the track a very meditative but also energetic vibe.

A video directed by Juliette Leigniel is also available, on the Château de Versailles‘ YouTube channel. We follow Fakear as he explores the most mysterious parts of the castle and of its garden.
